The Caipirinha Carnival Cocktail, Brazil’s National Drink, with A Ménage À Trois Twist

The beautiful land of Brazil plays host to the most celebrated event on the planet, the Rio Carnival, a weeklong celebration.
Known as the Greatest Show on Earth, it’s a beautiful celebration brought to life through the beat of incredible Brazilian music, glittering, glimmering gold costumes, samba dancers, and of course great food and drink. We are honoring this momentous occasion, which takes place in Rio de Janeiro, by bringing you our own version of the infamous Caipirinha Carnival cocktail. The traditional Caipirinha is Brazil national drink and for Carnival they add blackberries for color, we’ve added pineapple and lime, to complement our lush, tropical fruit tasting notes .

Ingredients for the Gold Caipirinha Carnival Cocktail:
– 1 lime (sliced or quartered)
– 2 tsp. turbinado (cane sugar)
– 3 ounces Ménage àTrois Gold Chardonnay
– 1 cup ice
– Fresh sliced lime, pineapple and rosemary for garnish

Instructions to prepare the Gold Caipirinha Carnival Cocktail:
In a metal shaker, muddle the fresh limes with sugar until sugar is dissolved and fruit macerated.
Add 1 cup ice to shaker and pour in Ménage à Trois Gold Chardonnay.
Cover shaker with lid and shake vigorously for 1 minute.
Pour into tall glass, garnish with pineapple, lime and sprig of rosemary, serve and enjoy.
