Friendsgiving Cozy Soup Swap

One thing is certain about the holidays: As you edge closer to eminent family quality time, you know you’re going to miss the fictive family you’ve created for yourself. They’re your rock, day in and day out, so it’s only natural that you’d want to spend a little special time with them over the holiday. You might even contemplate hosting a Friendsgiving. You could absolutely invest a couple days in prepping and cooking a full thanksgiving to share with a couple close friends, but if you’re realistic, you know that’s a lot of effort, on top of everything you’re trying to wrap up at work. Plus, you’ll probably be doing a bit of cooking with your relatives, and there’s no need to burn out early.

Our suggestion is to share a few responsibilities with your friends, so that everyone can enjoy some good together time before everybody retreats to their home base. What better way to do that and embrace the fine, fall weather than to host a Cozy Soup Swap Friendsgiving?

Set the mood by grabbing a couple bottles of your favorite Ménage a Trois wines: Midnight, Silk, Pinot Noir, and maybe even give our new Gold a try. Next, throw out a table runner, arrange a few candles, and add any holiday flair you have. We suggest picking up a nice bouquet of seasonal flowers, or anything with a lot of dark oranges, deep reds and bright yellows. You’ll also need bowls, but we’re not telling you to get too fancy. Mix and match all you like.

Finally, and most importantly, coordinate with your guests to ensure no one is bringing the same type of soup. You know your friends. If one isn’t confident in the kitchen, let them bring the French Onion. If one has serious cooking chops, let them bring a more complex Turkey Tortilla soup.

Once everyone arrives, you can taste your way through each variety of soup while enjoying the kind of warmth you can only get from good wine and lovely company.

When the mood strikes get cozy any time with our other wines at menageatroiswines.com
