Ménage à Trois Wines Celebrates Creativity with Social Poster Designing Contest

Fans of Ménage à Trois wines and the arts can let their creative juices flow with the new interactive Facebook contest “Celebrating Creativity.” Ménage à Trois wines launched a simple and fun platform that gives fans tools to design Ménage à Trois wines posters and a chance to win $500.

By using the tools and art provided in the Facebook application, Ménage à Trois Facebook fans build digital posters and submit the poster to Ménage à Trois wines. The “Celebrating Creativity” contest is now open and runs until August 19, 2011. One submitted poster will be selected by application developer Social Candy, and the winner will receive $500 and 20 professionally printed posters.

“Ménage à Trois wines is a supporter of the arts and we wanted to put creative power into the hands of our Facebook fans,” said Megan Steffen, Social Media Manager for the Ménage à Trois brand. “To celebrate our fans’ originality we built an easy-to-use Facebook application that levels the playing field so all of our fans—not just designers—can have a chance to win $500.”

Ménage à Trois wines, the #1 red wine in the U.S.*, has long been dedicated to the arts through its sponsorship of film and music festivals. “Whether our fans’ creative outlets are writing, performing, drawing or cooking, we hope that a $500 cash prize can provide seed money for the winner to continue to develop his or her creativity,” continues Steffen.

The Facebook application was built in collaboration with Social Candy, a leading social media company specializing in Facebook personalization. “We were thrilled to work with Ménage à Trois wines on building an interactive art application,” said Mark Gordon, CEO of Social Candy. “The Ménage à Trois fans are engaged, creative and embrace the food, wine and art lifestyle. An art-based interactive application was a natural fit for the company.”
