Silk or Midnight: Which Ménage is Right Tonight?

One moment you're a smooth talker; the next you're a tad risqué? The curious thing about Ménage à Trois Wines is you never have to choose one or the other because you can be both with these two tantalizing red blends. Our latest, Silk, is a smooth, soft and luxurious wine that boasts succulent cherry and ripe raspberry flavors. Midnight, on the other hand, is an intense expression of ripe black fruit and exotic spice.

Which one will you take home tonight?

Make it a true Ménage à Trois: Silk, Midnight and you!

Indulge Your Diva with a DIY Red Wine Facial

We already know that drinking wine can be as refreshing as it is relaxing. We also know that facials can have the same exhilarating and soothing effect. Together, they make the ultimate love connection for you. That’s right, wine facials offer a new way to enjoy your favorite bottle of red. Resveratrol, an antioxidant found in Red Wine, boasts anti-aging properties while the honey and yogurt reduce redness and moisturize your skin. The bonus of this at-home spa treatment? Finishing off the remaining Ménage à Trois.
"Oh, how, divine."

It's as easy 1-2-3. Here’s all you need:
5 tbsp. of Ménage à Trois Red Wine (we like Pinot Noir, Merlot or Red)
2 tbsp. of organic honey
1 cup of plain organic yogurt

Directions:
Blend ingredients together with a whisk.
Apply generously to clean face and leave on for 10 minutes.
Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
Enjoy the remaining Ménage à Trois wine.

Clever Tips to Store Your Wine

While we all know how to enjoy a fine glass of wine, not everyone has a professional-grade wine cellar or top-of-the-line wine fridge in their home for storing their favorite bottles. While these features would certainly be nice to have, you don’t necessarily need them to keep your wine fresh and tasty. For both opened or unopened bottles, use these helpful tips to ensure the perfect sip from start to finish.

You don’t need a wine cellar to keep wine tasting stellar.
Keep it dark and cool by storing in a closet or in a room unaffected by sunlight.
Lay bottles on their sides—this keeps the corks from drying out.
Avoid “shaking” or any vibrations. Some experts believe excessive movement damages the wine by speeding up the chemical reactions in the wine.

Savvy ways to keep your open wine tasting the way it should.
Re-cork your bottle the right way by inserting the same end of the cork back in the bottle to avoid contaminating the wine.
Refrigerate leftovers to slow down the process of the wine breaking down.
Transfer to a smaller, screw-top bottle, which leaves less room for air.

3 Tips for Celebrating New Year’s Eve in Style

The countdown to New Year’s Eve is on, but don’t wait until midnight to plan the NYE of your dreams! Whether you’re bound for downtown or celebrating at your place, these party-perfect tips will help you ring in a fabulous new year.

If you’re headed out on the town, plan in advance.
Bars, clubs and restaurants (especially in bigger cities) can get quite crowded come New Year’s Eve. Most even require that you purchase tickets in advance, so plan ahead! And don’t forget about transportation—lock down your ride early on instead of battling partygoers for a cab come midnight.

Skip the crowds and host your own New Year’s bash.
Overcrowded event spaces not your thing? Bring the party to your pad by hosting your very own NYE soirée, complete with stunning decor and plenty of bubbly.

Dress to dazzle.
Whether you go out or stay in, tonight’s the night to dress to the nines. Ladies, think sequins and sparkles from head to heels. Gentlemen, break out that suit and add a whimsical, shimmering bowtie. Everyone should feel free to throw on 2016 glasses and glittery hats for added fun.

Do you have any fun NYE party plans? Tell us how you’re celebrating in the comments below!

December Horoscope: Capricorn & Cabernet

Happy Birthday, Capricorn!

The sure-footed sign of the goat is poised for success this month, and with your hard-working and ambitious attitude, there’s no stopping you from achieving your full potential. Be cautious where you step, industrious Capricorn—your down-to-business manner might come off a bit brash if you’re not careful. Otherwise, sit back and celebrate your accomplishments—it is your birthday, after all.

A Celebration with Cab Sauvignon

The King of Reds—Cabernet Sauvignon—is indeed a match for Cap’s boundless ambition. Its lush, dark berry flavors, silky tannins and long, sumptuous finish are truly regal—and ready to celebrate. Not to mention this varietal’s smooth, approachable style that marries a ménage à trois of grapes. Cabernet and Capricorn: together a pairing that rules the party.

Chill Out: Holiday DIY Ice Bucket

With holiday party season in full swing, take control of dropping temps with a deep freeze all your own: the DIY ice bucket. Perfect for keeping wine bottles and bubbly refreshingly cold, this wonderful, wintry chiller is elegant and easy to make with our step-by-step guide. Decorative and practical? Now that’s cool.

What You’ll Need:
Tall, cylindrical container (we like 2-liter soda bottles, emptied and clean)
Empty wine bottle
Full wine bottle
Scissors
Water
Fruit (like cranberries, orange or lemon slices, berries)
Greenery (rosemary, small pine branches, holly leaves)

Instructions:
Cut the top off of your 2-liter bottle, leaving it short enough to show off your wine bottle, but tall enough for the ice to keep it cold.
Insert your empty wine bottle into the 2 liter bottle, and start filling the 2-liter bottle with water. Don’t fill it all the way up—you need to leave room for your decorative touches!
Arrange your various fruits and greenery in the water surrounding the wine bottle.
Place in the freezer overnight. Remove when guests arrive.
Cut away the plastic bottle and carefully remove the empty wine bottle.
To serve, insert your full newly-opened wine bottle and place in a bucket or on a large tray, as the ice will melt throughout the night.
