Wine Grapes

How about a bite size way to enjoy our sweeter varietals? We found this fun recipe for wine grapes, yes wine grapes. You and your guests will be thrilled to devour these delectable wine bites. Special thanks to Alecia from Vegetarian and Cooking blog for let us share this fun recipe:

This is an incredibly easy recipe, it's so easy to make that I even hesitate to call it a recipe, but I think it is something great to share because it isn't a usual snack or drink. The ingredient proportions I used were for three people. If you’re creating it for more people, please adjust the proportions accordingly.

Ingredients:

Grapes
Sweet white wine
Sugar

I used a toothpick to poke holes in the grapes, and then put them in a Tupperware with enough wine to cover them. I let the grapes soak in the wine overnight. The next day, I put sugar on a plate and rolled the soaked grapes, and then added a little more sugar to the top when they were all in a bowl.

Play a Murder Mystery Game
A frightful party favorite, this game of “Who Done it?” is a fun way to get in the Halloween spirit. Gather a group of friends, dress the part, and spend the night solving the mystery before the murderer strikes again.

Open a Boo-ttle of Midnight Wine
Is there a better wine for this eery holiday than Ménage à Trois Midnight? We think not! This dark and mysterious blend lets you savor the pleasures of the dark. Just remember: the only thing scary about wine is it running out, so keep a few bottles on hand to avoid frightening your guests.

Reveal Your Hidden Side

Mischievous Side of Midnight
An unexpected happening occurs when the sun goes down and the sky turns Midnight. We feel a quiet excitement come over us, an uninhibited sense of freedom connects us to a deeper part of ourselves, a place we don’t always go, yet when we do we’re pleasantly surprised by our own mischievous side.

Unreserved & Unexpected
At 11:59, so many of us may be shy, yet a minute later, we’re not. In fact, some of us may even have a curious urge to be a bit bold and risqué, and let sensuality come out to play. There are even American idioms, which lend some credibility to the idea that when Midnight is upon us, we feel bold enough to reveal an unexpected side we might normally keep hidden away.

The Real American Horror Story: Our Nation’s Spookiest Cities

Have a Haunted Halloween in America’s Spookiest Cities

Burial grounds, ghostly apparitions and bloody battles—history’s most gruesome events are haunting cities across America. This Halloween, get an eerily authentic experience with these ghoulish getaways—but only if you dare!

Gettysburg, PA
As the site of a terribly tragic battle during the Civil War, where approximately 51,000 soldiers died, this sleepy Pennsylvania town is a hotspot for spiritual encounters. Take a candlelit ghost walk or visit the actual battlefield to experience paranormal activity.

New Orleans, LA
Haunted hotels, ghost tours and voodoo queens—it doesn’t get much creepier than this spooky Southern city. Haunted fact: Since NOLA sits below sea level, tombs must be kept above ground in the city’s cemeteries.

Salem, MA
What some may call the country’s most haunted locale, “Witch City” offers countless ghost tours, museums and spooky attractions that play up this town’s notorious past. We might say it’s a rather bewitching excursion!

6 Tips to Make Every Date Feel Like the First

#MenageMix: 6 Tips to Keep the Sparks Alive

The beginning of a relationship is often perceived as the most exciting time—it is, after all, the “honeymoon phase” when you’re falling in love and everything feels like a fairytale. But as the years pass, it’s easy to fall into a relationship routine: work, kids, friends and responsibilities often take priority over romance. If you’re looking to reignite those original sparks and amp up the passion, make every date feel like the first with these six tips.

  1. Bring on the kissing. This intimate act is something that often gets pushed to the side as we get older. So after dinner, go in for a make-out session. We promise it will be as fun as you remember.
  2. Do something spontaneous! First dates are all about the unknown, so surprise your significant other with something new. It can be a grand gesture like a trip or even something as small as you picking the restaurant without them knowing.
  3. Literally recreate your first date. Revisit the restaurant where you first noticed his smile, or head to the park where you shyly held hands—traveling back to where it all began can reignite those first-love feelings.
  4. Or try a completely different date. If your date nights have turned into pizza on the couch, it’s time for a change. Try something totally new, whether it’s attending a restaurant opening, doing a wine tasting or even something adventurous like rock climbing.
  5. Communicate. Remember when you shared anything and everything? Discuss your hopes, your dreams and everything in between to connect on that personal level once again.
  6. Reminisce with one another. Looking back and discussing the good times you’ve spent together can remind you both of the fun you had—and can still have!

National Dessert Month
Pinot Noir bottle

Pinot Noir

"We’ll make you feel like a real star."

National Dessert Month

It’s National Dessert Month, just another excuse to seduce our sweet tooth.

How many of us have such an insatiable sweet tooth that more often than not we find ourselves needing an excuse to totally satisfy it? Well, have we got a sweet surprise for you. All of October is officially “National Dessert Month.” No, we’re not making this up. Although, we’d love to know who did because we’d absolutely send them this unbelievable sensory-pleasing dessert recipe.

Here’s a fun trivia bite.
The word “dessert” comes from the Old French “desservir,” which means "to clear the table.” It makes sense since dessert is served at the end of the meal.
