Dare to be Different With These Peppermint and White Chocolate Crepes

When our courageous winemakers dared to create Decadence, our most lavish, over-the-top Cabernet Sauvignon yet, we also set out in search of a variety of boldly adventurous food pairings, which would unquestionably stack up to the rich, luxurious, and seductive taste of our new Ménage à Trois Decadence. Viola! We believe we discovered a stunning recipe that’s surely worthy of your rolodex. So, indulge your senses and those of your significant other with these exotic Peppermint & White Chocolate Crepes. So, while others are finishing their dinners with pie or cake, you can bite into an exotic swirl of flavors that will have you saying, ‘je t’aime’ to these irresistible crepes.

Crepe Cake is one of the most delicious ways of serving crepes, a decadent dessert made with about 25 crepes topped one upon the other, drizzled with homemade white chocolate cream, peppermint, and raspberries.

Recipe Ingredients for Peppermint and White Chocolate Crepes 
- Prep time: 1 hr
- Cook time: 30 mins
- Total time: 1 hr 30 mins
- Makes about 10-12 servings

Crepe Batter Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 4 tbsp (60g) sugar
- 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
- 2 tsp (10g) vanilla extract
- 2 cups (480ml) milk
- 3 1/2 cups (440g) all-purpose flour
- 6 tbsp (80g) oil
- 2 cups (480ml) sparkling mineral water

White Chocolate Filling Ingredients
- 5.5 oz (150) white chocolate, small pieces
- 1/4 cup (60g) whipping cream
- 3 tbsp (24g) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp (5g) vanilla extract

Garnish
- 1 Cup Crushed Peppermints
- 3 Springs of Fresh Mint
- 2 Cups of Raspberries
- ½ Cup Powdered Sugar
 
Directions to prepare the crepes.
1. In a large bowl, mix together the eggs with sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
2. Stir in milk, add flour, and mix well.
3. Add the oil and mineral water and whisk until smooth.
4. Heat a medium nonstick pan over medium heat.
5. Sprinkle a teaspoon of vegetable oil or butter.
6. Pour a small ladle of batter in the middle of the pan and with a circular move spread the batter to the edges of the pan.
7. Cook the crepe until the bottom is light brown.
8. Flip over and cook the other side until light brown.
9. Repeat with remaining batter.
10. Cool crepes completely.
 
Prepare the white chocolate filling.
1. Place white chocolate and ¼ cup cream into a heatproof bowl and place over a pan with simmering water.
2. Melt over low heat.
3. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract and mix to combine.
4. Serve and enjoy your well-deserved indulgence.

Recipe Ingredients for Winter Goat Cheese & Roasted Beet Salad Recipe:
- 3 Medium Beets, Scrubbed and Washed (choose different types of beets to enhance color in your salad)
- 2 Seasonal Oranges, Peeled and Quartered
- 1/4 cup Extra-Virgin Olive Oil 
- 2 Tablespoons Sherry Vinegar 
- 1 Tablespoon Honey 
- 4 Cups Baby Spinach 
- 1/2 Cup Crumbled Goat Cheese 
- 1/2 Cup Walnuts, Chopped 
 
 
Directions to make Winter Goat Cheese & Roasted Beet Salad Recipe:
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Wrap the beets in foil packets and roast in the oven until tender, about 1 hour.
3. Open the foil packets and let cool. Once cool enough to handle, peel using a paper towel, then slice.
4. In a medium bowl, add the olive oil, vinegar, honey and whisk together.
5. Add the beets, oranges and spinach to the dressing, then toss to coat.
6. Top with the goat cheese and walnuts.

Make Your Next Meal An Adventure with this Around-the-World Soup Recipe

The world is filled with many wonders, from vibrant coral reefs to beautiful painted deserts. With all the responsibilities that life can bring, it is often difficult to get to see all these miraculous sights firsthand. Allow Ménage à Trois to take you on a journey with this Around-the-World Soup recipe. Once you take your first bite, you will feel as though you’ve been instantly transported across the globe.
 
Add a bottle of Ménage à Trois California Red and prepare to give in to your wanderlust.

Ingredients (serves 4):
- 2 tbspn Peanut oil
- 1 Chopped red onion
- 2 Cloves of minced garlic
- 2 tbspn Chopped fresh ginger
- 1 tbspn Crushed red pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 5 cups Chicken stock
- 3 Sweet potatoes
- 1 16 oz Can of chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 lbs roughly chopped collard greens
- 1 cup Chunky peanut butter

How it's made:
1. Heat the peanut oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
2. Cook and stir the onion, garlic, and ginger in the hot oil until softened, roughly 4-5 minutes.
3. Season with the crushed red pepper, salt, and black pepper to your preference.
4. Stir the sweet potatoes into the pot and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cover the pot partially with a lid. Cook at a simmer for 15 minutes.
5. Stir the tomatoes, collard greens, and peanut butter into the soup.
6. Partially cover the pot again and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, another 20 minutes.
7. Remove the soup from the heat, serve and enjoy!

Ingredients Needed to Delight:
- 2 Cups Tangerine Lemonade
- 3 Cups Ménage à Trois Gold
- 5 Cloves for Spice, or to taste
- 2 Cups Cranberry Seltzer
- 1/2 Cup Pomegranate Juice
- 5-10 Dashes Black Walnut or Angostura Bitters
- Garnish: Fresh Mint and Pomegranate Arils
  
Instructions:
1. In a punch bowl or pitcher, combine the lemonade, wine, cloves, seltzer and pomegranate juice.
2. Add the bitters, if using, and stir to combine.
3. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
4. To serve, add a teaspoon of pomegranate arils to the bottom of small wine glass or punch cup.
5. Fill the cup with punch.
6. Garnish with fresh mint.

Ingredients:
- 2-3 Pears
- 1 Pomegranate
- 1 tbsp Honey
- Almond flakes (for garnish)
- 1 Vanilla flavored tart

Directions (makes one): 
1. From your favorite local bakery, choose a vanilla flavored dessert tart.
2. Thinly slice your pears horizontally so that you get slices in the shape of a circle.
3. Place each slice down on the tart in an overlapping circular fashion. Continue this pattern until the slices meet in the middle.
4. Heat your oven to 350 degrees and bake your tart for 10 - 15 minutes, or until the pear slices are golden brown.
5. Drizzle the top of your tart with honey, almond flakes and pomegranate.
6. Enjoy!

Elevate your next event with this recipe for Ménage à Trois Brie with Fig. This appetizer combines a warm creamy cheese with the sweet tastes of fig, the saltiness of pistachios, and the smooth flavors of Ménage à Trois Silk. It’s a dish made for perfecting your evening’s journey.
 
Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp fig jam or preserves
- 1/3 cup dried mission figs
- 1/3 cup shelled pistachios
- 1/3 cup walnut hearts
- 13-oz French brie
 
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Place the fig jam/preserves in a microwave-safe dish. Microwave for 30 seconds to soften.
3. In a small bowl, combine the sliced dried figs with the nuts. Add half of the fig jam and mix well to coat the nut mixture.
4. Place the round of brie in a small cast iron skillet or oven-safe dish. Using a knife, coat the brie with the remainder of the jam.
5. Top the brie with the fig and nut mixture.
6. Place the brie dish on a baking sheet. Bake in 375 degree F-heated oven for 10 minutes (or until brie starts to ooze, but not melt).
7. Serve warm with your favorite crackers!
 
If you run out of crackers, use your fingers as spoons, because you won’t want to waste a single bite.
