Ménage à Trois Prosecco Lollipops: One More Reason To Love Your Bubbly!

Ménage à Trois Prosecco infused lollipops are a simply fabulous party favor, all year, and wonderfully suited for New Year’s Eve and Day.
They’re a delectable new way to ring in the New Year, and will bring some silly, yet seriously delicious cheer to everyone of your party goers. Best of all, now you can have your Ménage à Trois Prosecco and eat it, too.

Prosecco Lollipop Ingredients:
1/4 Cup and 1 Teaspoon of Ménage à Trois Prosecco
2 Tablespoons Cold Water
3/4 Cup Sugar
3 Tablespoons Corn Syrup
1/8 Teaspoon Salt
Directions:
Use a lollipop mold or a silicone mat on a baking sheet.
Mix together only 1/4 cup of the Ménage à Trois Prosecco and the water, sugar, corn syrup, and salt in a saucepan until all of the sugar is wet.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Then boil to 300°F (149°C) without stirring.
Remove from the heat , and, working quickly, mix in the remaining 1 teaspoon of champagne.
Still working with haste, drop the syrup into either lollipop molds or onto a silicone mat.

Helpful Preparation Tips:
If using lollipop molds, quickly drop the syrup from the tip of a large spoon into the cavities of the lollipop molds.
Place a lollipop stick in the center of each disk, and twist it 180 degrees so that it’s fully covered in syrup. Let cool completely.
If using a silicone mat, quickly drop the syrup onto the silicone mat so that it forms 2-inch disks and immediately after plopping the syrup on the sheets place a lollipop stick in the center of each disk and twist it 180 degrees so that it’s fully covered in syrup.
Let cool completely.
Peel the lollipops from the molds or silicone and store in an airtight container, preferably at least overnight to allow the flavors to develop, until ready to indulge.

Witty Wine Three-liners

The holidays are a chance to give a touching gift and jot down a few kind thoughts. Sometimes the card you find at the store is just right for that sweet, sentimental thing you want to say to another human that you love. Then, there’s our three-liner wine cards that capture the emotion you’re really feeling. Bonus: Some of them are haikus!

Our bottles are already pretty and we actually recommend handing them out naked, no wrapping necessary. Print these cards out, punch a hole in the corner, and attach them with a string to your friend’s favorite bottle of Ménage. And, of course, if you just want to skip all of that and steal these, promise us you’ll write them in your finest penmanship.

Download the cards here:

Your wish list was kind of long…

So here’s a gift card,

and some wine.

You’re a true friend,

one who really knows me,

so I got you a gift I could enjoy too.

This bottle of wine is just your first present.

I’m buying the rest tomorrow,

when we raid the clearance holiday candy aisle.

I’m always happy to see you,

and celebrating things with you is lovely.

I got you this wine present, and there’s a corkscrew in my pocket.

I got you the gift of wine.

I drank half, but the other half of the gift is…

Look, I can do a back flip!

I know we’re just having fun at this ugly sweater party,

but I feel like this could be it.

This could be the year we bring back turtle necks!

A non-judgmental toast to those still decorating.

If you left the lights up year-round,

maybe you wouldn’t have this problem.

 Oh baby, that tree!

I love how you put that tree up for me.

Let’s drink this wine in bed.

After we drink your Christmas present,

we’re going to buy you some new boots;

because what are those?

HAIKUS:

Jingle Bells is fine,

While we drink this wine all night,

No bells tomorrow.

After we survive.

I mean, see our families,

This bottle’s for us.

Yeah, we’re both single.

At least we’ve got each other,

to drink and laugh with.

We wish you a very merry…and witty Holiday season!

Part Wine Glass, Part Shot Glass, All Fun: DIY All-in-One Glass

We’re kicking off the holiday party season with a DIY project that makes the rounds—and serves them, too. Part wine glass, part shot glass, this barware parties (almost) as hard as you do, with one end to hold your Ménage à Trois wine now while the other holds spirits later.

A true crowd pleaser, these all-in-one glasses will not only save room on your bar cart, they’ll save time on cleanup, too.
You might say they’re double trouble, but we say they’re double the fun!

Here’s what you’ll need to get started on this party-perfect project:
2 – Plastic Wine Glasses
2 – Plastic Shot Glasses
Hot Glue Gun
Paint Markers

Here’s how to put it all together:
Create a design on your wine glasses using paint markers.
Allow paint to dry for 10-15 minutes.
Place wine glass open end down on a stable surface.
Add hot glue to the bottom of the plastic shot glass.
Center the shot glass to the bottom of the wine glass, and add pressure.
Let dry for 5-10 minutes
After glue has dried, rinse thoroughly before use.

It’s this type of DIY project that makes us leap for joy, while we pour out the fun!

Host a Holiday Gifting Party—with a Twist

Secret Santas, White Elephants, present swaps: the holidays bring on a whole slew of gift exchanges and parties that are guaranteed to quickly fill up your calendar. This year, put a playful Ménage à Trois twist on the quintessential gathering by throwing a uniquely spirited holiday party, where the aim of the game involves something unexpected, a little mysterious and a whole ‘lot of fun.

Here’s where this playful gift-giving party gets a bit cheeky. The host simply gives away or “re-gifts” any unwanted gifts and random items that never got returned to the store. What will you get? Wondering curiously is half the fun! What's even more fun is when you inspire your guests to trade one another for the gifts they just received. You can also have each guest bring an item to re-gift, too.

It’s all for the love of holiday fun as the laughter and Ménage à Trois wine pours throughout the evening.

Staying in? Skip the Flix and Try Out These Winter Date Ideas

Flix and Chill? Nah, you’ve got better things to do.

We’re not knocking this Saturday staple, but sometimes it’s fun to venture off the couch and try something a bit more adventurous with your S.O. Instead of turning on the TV, set the sparks flying with these festive date-night ideas that conjure up some serious winter romance.

Experiment Threely with Holiday Cocktails
Play bartender for the night and whip up a few festive cocktails that you typically might not try.
If it’s extra cold outside, heat things up with warm mulled wine or red wine hot chocolate made with Ménage à Trois reds—the perfect tantalizing treats for a cozy date night in.

Have a Blind Ménage à Trois Tasting
There’s something unequivocally seductive about being blindfolded. Add to that a palate-arousing lineup of Ménage à Trois wines, and you’ve got the ultimate recipe for romance. Select 3-4 of your favorite reds or whites (we like the combination of Silk, Midnight and California Red). Then, blindfold your partner and have them taste each glass. For an extra flirty spin, have them guess the varietals. If they get any wrong, they have to leave the blindfold on for the rest of the night.

Host a Holiday Wrap Battle
Nothing wrong with a little friendly (and festive) competition! Grab your partner and race to get the holiday wrapping done. You can make your own wrapping paper or tie up your own bows to make things even more creative. Bonus points if one of those gifts is a bottle of Ménage à Trois wine.

Fill Your Thanksgiving Toasts with Delicious Riches

Gold

"Let us lavish you in delicious riches."

Fill Your Thanksgiving Toasts with Delicious Riches

At Ménageà Trois, we have a lot to be thankful for — thrilling adventures, tantalizing wines and the irresistible company (we’re looking at you, gorgeous) to share it all with. We’re also finding ourselves appreciative of something a little more decadent this time around. Fancy a guess? We’ll drop a few hints: it’s deliciously rich and glitters with every sip. It’s lavish with a wealth of flavors that spoils every sense.

If you guessed Ménageà Trois Gold, you guessed right.

Naturally, we had to incorporate our latest, most luxurious wine in a cocktail stirred up to celebrate Thanksgiving. But we’re not stopping there, oh no. We mixed in a generous splash of season-perfect cranberry juice, added a hint of vanilla extract to complement the subtle French vanilla notes in Gold and topped it all off with fabulously fizzy Ménageà Trois Prosecco. Feast your eyes (and your taste buds) on the glorious Gold Chardonnay Vanilla Cranberry Spritzer, a signature cocktail that can be served alongside the main course or as a delightful post-dinner indulgence to go along with that pumpkin pie. Crisp and refreshing, with subtle autumnal flavorings — what’s not to be thankful for?

Gold Chardonnay Vanilla Cranberry Spritzer

 Ingredients:
1 bottle Ménageà Trois Gold Chardonnay
1 bottle Ménageà Trois Prosecco
1 bottle pure cranberry juice, unsweetened
12 oz. bottle simple syrup*
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 bag fresh cranberries
½ cup sugar
4 oz. triple sec
1 package of fresh rosemary

*To make your own simple syrup, dissolve 1½ cups of sugar in ½ cups water over low-medium heat.

Directions: In a large pitcher, mix 1 bottle of Ménageà Trois Gold Chardonnay, cranberry juice, simple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir thoroughly. Top with 1 bottle of Ménageà Trois Prosecco.

To serve, rim glass by dipping lip in small dish filled with triple sec and then dip in small dish of granulated sugar. Add ice and pour cocktail into glass. Top with fresh cranberries, a sprig of fresh rosemary and enjoy!

Red is the New Black: Celebrate Red Friday with Ménageà Trois

Packed parking lots, obscenely long lines and unruly, rowdy crowds: Is it just us, or does Black Friday seem like a less than stellar way to spend the day after Thanksgiving? This year, we’re skipping the shopping and sipping instead, officially declaring November 25th Red Friday.

Battling it out for big-box deals is so last year. This time around, imagine uncorking a smooth, seductive bottle of your favorite Ménageà Trois Red as you relax at home, effortlessly indulging in the fine aromas and flavors as they slip sensuously across your palate. Sounds better than sitting in traffic on the way to the mall at 5 AM, right? In fact, we have a few more reasons why you should opt for red over black this Friday — 10 reasons, to be exact.

1. Because doorbuster deals are overrated. Bust open a bottle of California Red instead.
2. Because sleeping in is so much better than waking up before sunrise. Especially when you have Midnight waiting for you.
3. Because who has time to wait in line? It only takes a few seconds to open a bottle of Pinot Noir.
4. Because just thinking about crowds is stressful. Quick, pour a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon to calm you down.
5. Because traffic is the worst. And Malbec is the best.
6. Because customers whining is annoying. Wining with Ménageà Trois is not.
7. Because the sales are only good for one day. Ménageà Trois is good ’til the last drop.
8. Because spending quality time with Merlot is better than spending all of your money.
9. Because impulse buying is often regrettable — unless that impulse buy is a bottle of Ménageà Trois wine.
10. Because let’s face it: Ménageà Trois wine is the best gift you can give, or get.

A Single Mingle Holiday Survival Guide

If you’ve reached a certain age, it’s safe to say that you’re trying to be a real, human adult. You’re acutely aware that this is a process with its share of fun surprises and new, shall we say, provoking questions. What they don’t tell you about this era is that the surprises are usually barely making it through a day without spilling coffee on yourself. The inquisitive questions, however, tend to come from other people — mostly relatives asking why you don’t have a boyfriend/girlfriend/significant other. During the holiday season these questions become unavoidable, so we’ve written a dance inspired guide to survive the single holiday mingle.

The Avoiding Aunt Mildred Marriage Questions Mambo: This one has a long title, but it’s an easy maneuver. When your dear, sweet aunt first mentions that you should be thinking about marriage, simply burst into an enthusiastic, five minute filibuster all about a spicy marinara you made, by marrying an aromatic blend of diced tomatoes, chili peppers, and mushrooms. This will cue her to forget her original question and start sharing recipes. Yum!

The Cool Cousin Swerve: Your cousins are undoubtedly the coolest people — besides you — at this family function. While you’re catching up over a perfectly crisp glass of Gold, because you’re adults with luxurious tastes now, a significant other could come up in conversation. If they ask, remember that these are the people you can be the realest with, and they’ll accept the quick, close response of “I’m just doing me, right now.” Expand if you want, but they’ll give you the cool cousin glide pass.

The Grandparent Gavotte: Here’s a tricky one. You love these people, and you want them to see you at your best, always. They lure you in by doting on you, talking about your fancy job, and they tell you that your mom showed them pictures of your “cute” apartment on the iPad. Suddenly, the mood shifts. They think your apartment, full of reclaimed barn-wood and your most prized travel trinkets, is rather small for a family. All you can do from here is continue to sip your Midnight, see this dance through, and not mention that you’ve gone to great lengths not to have a child any time soon. Then, make your way to a fresh glass; you’ve earned it.

We hope you can use these steps to step up your Single Mingle Survival Dance. If all else fails, at least you’ve had some pretty stellar wines and delicious food.

Friendsgiving Cozy Soup Swap

One thing is certain about the holidays: As you edge closer to eminent family quality time, you know you’re going to miss the fictive family you’ve created for yourself. They’re your rock, day in and day out, so it’s only natural that you’d want to spend a little special time with them over the holiday. You might even contemplate hosting a Friendsgiving. You could absolutely invest a couple days in prepping and cooking a full thanksgiving to share with a couple close friends, but if you’re realistic, you know that’s a lot of effort, on top of everything you’re trying to wrap up at work. Plus, you’ll probably be doing a bit of cooking with your relatives, and there’s no need to burn out early.

Our suggestion is to share a few responsibilities with your friends, so that everyone can enjoy some good together time before everybody retreats to their home base. What better way to do that and embrace the fine, fall weather than to host a Cozy Soup Swap Friendsgiving?

Set the mood by grabbing a couple bottles of your favorite Ménage a Trois wines: Midnight, Silk, Pinot Noir, and maybe even give our new Gold a try. Next, throw out a table runner, arrange a few candles, and add any holiday flair you have. We suggest picking up a nice bouquet of seasonal flowers, or anything with a lot of dark oranges, deep reds and bright yellows. You’ll also need bowls, but we’re not telling you to get too fancy. Mix and match all you like.

Finally, and most importantly, coordinate with your guests to ensure no one is bringing the same type of soup. You know your friends. If one isn’t confident in the kitchen, let them bring the French Onion. If one has serious cooking chops, let them bring a more complex Turkey Tortilla soup.

Once everyone arrives, you can taste your way through each variety of soup while enjoying the kind of warmth you can only get from good wine and lovely company.

When the mood strikes get cozy any time with our other wines at menageatroiswines.com

Enjoy your Ménage à Trois Outdoors

Nature Lovers Unite
Just because the temperatures are dropping doesn’t mean you can’t experience the pleasures of nature by taking a few of your favorite activities outdoors. After all, the crisp fall weather makes a great excuse for cuddling up and getting a little closer. Happy hours, festive picnics and seasonal celebrations are all the more thrilling when hosted beyond the house. So grab a jacket, build a bonfire and get ready to do it outside with these playful ideas.

Hot-and-Cold Happy Hour
Some like it hot, others like it cold. This happy hour falls somewhere in between! Take everyone’s favorite time of day outdoors by lighting a fire in the fire pit and cozying up to your closest friends. Serve a variety of Ménageà Trois wines to really heat things up with tantalizing flavors and irresistible aromas.

Pre-Thanksgiving Picnic
Eat your heart out, Summer! Autumn picnics are just as perfect. Pick a sunny day to set up at your local park, and serve hot foods kept warm in insulated coolers and thermoses. Bring a pile of blankets to keep guests toasty if the chill gets too intense.

Outdoor Dessert
Chewy, chocolatey, melt-in-your-mouth goodness: There’s nothing like piping-hot s’mores toasted over an open fire. These ooey-gooey treats are as fun to make as they are to eat. Pair them with Ménageà Trois Moscato to truly savor the sweetness of being outdoors.
