Winemaker Notes
Our winemakers wanted to craft a wine that possessed everythingthey loved about Merlot, only more: more rich fruit flavors, morecocoa accents, a more voluptuous mouthfeel. They selected grapesfrom premier vineyards in California’s Central Coast and North Coastappellations, known for producing grapes with exceptionally rich flavors and aromas. Finally, they fermented the wine on French and American oak to round out the flavors and mouthfeel.
Tasting Notes
Lavish is a luxurious, over the top expression of Merlot, offering a truly sensual experience. From its deep ruby red color and its alluringblueberry cordial fragrance, Lavish promises to be much more than atypical Merlot. On the palate, seamlessly integrated flavors of rich, ripeblueberries and juicy black plums flirt recklessly with dark cocoa andsensual vanilla notes before being swept up in a smooth, chocolatyfinish. It’s full-bodied with a soft, round mouthfeel—a uniquely rich,extraordinarily lavish Merlot.
