Fashion Week Edition: Trends We Hope NEVER Come Back

Every season, New York Fashion Week becomes the birthplace of countless new trends that the style crowd goes crazy for. However, not every in-demand look is as fresh and fashion-forward as it seems. When it comes to the rotating trends of this style-savvy industry, nothing holds truer than the mantra “Everything old is new again.” Just look at some of fall’s most-wanted pieces: flare jeans, plaid everything, Bohemian accessories and more are all reminiscent of earlier decades. And while we can certainly get on board with a cozy tartan flannel and a flattering pair of bellbottoms, some styles should definitely stay dead (looking at you, '80s shoulder pads).

As Spring 2016 Fashion Week comes to a close, here are a few trends we hope never make a comeback on the runways.

1.Extremely Low-Rise Pants: Just a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen.

2.Huge Shoulder Pads: Unless you’re prone to getting tackled, there’s no need to purposefully look like a linebacker.

3.Velour Track Suits: Soft as they may be, this matchy-matchy look made popular by Cali celebs and reality stars has thoroughly worn out its welcome. Bonus offense: pants with a certain brand printed across the back coupled with a notorious pair of shearling boot .
