Simple and Easy Latkes!

With eight days of celebration, things can get busy quickly. Let Ménage à Trois wines make your nights a little easier (and sweeter) with our simple latke recipe, paired perfectly with our spicy and smoky Bourbon Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon.

What You Will Need:

  • 1 lb potatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 1 cheesecloth

How To Make It:

  1. Peel potatoes and shred them along with the onion.
  2. Place potato shreds into a cheesecloth and squeeze out as much water as possible.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, flour, and salt.
  4. Combine all ingredients and toss with your hands.
  5. Preheat your pan with ½ cup of olive oil. Once hot, place a spoonful of the batter evenly in the pan, and flatten with the back of the spoon.
  6. Fry until golden and serve with your topping of choice (we picked applesauce and crème fraîche).
  7. Pour a glass of Ménage à Trois Bourbon Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon, and enjoy!
